About Kathy Borchardt, Psy.D.

Dr. Kathy Borchardt is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice, specializing in neuropsychology and behavioral medicine. She performed her internship at Ray Graham Association (for mentally challenged children and adults) and at Neuropsychological and Rehabilitation Consultants. Post-doctorate training was also completed at Neuropsychological and Rehabilitation Consultants, as well as at Columbus Hospital Medical Rehabilitation Unit, Hinsdale Hospital Pain Clinic, and DuPage Convalescent Center Subacute Rehabilitation Unit.  She obtained her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Illinois School of Professional Psychology (ISPP), with Certificates in Behavioral Medicine and Neuropsychology. She received her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago, and her Bachelors and MBA Degrees were obtained from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.  Her doctoral dissertation (CRP) focused on the use of intelligence tests to predict successful employment of cognitively impaired adults.

As part of a multipdisciplinary treatment team at Hinsdale Hospital, Central DuPage Hospital, and Edward Hospital pain clinics, Dr. Borchardt provided nonpharmacological pain management services.  Dr. Borchardt has also given community presentations on stress management, the nonpharmacological treatment of chronic pain, treating older adults with chronic pain, and parenting children with learning disabilities.  She has taught classes at the University of Illinois and at ISPP, and supervised doctoral-level practicum students.
